SICCE Pump Malfunctions
Electronic pumps ensure high performance, but the presence of multiple hardware and software components can make it difficult to
identify a possible fault. Before considering replacement, it is recommended to carry out a verification procedure in an attempt to
resolve the problem independently.
Hardware
When a malfunction occurs, it is essential to first check the integrity of the hardware components. Carefully inspect the power supply,
connection cables, and connectors. A visual and functional inspection of each component can help quickly identify the cause of the
problem.
Power Supply Check
Does the power supply turn on (LED on)?
If the power supply does not turn on, it may have failed, or the power cable is usually not properly connected.
Motor Check
Disconnect the controller and connect the pump directly to the power supply. Does the pump start?
If the pump starts, then the controller is faulty and must be replaced.
Impeller Check
If you try to move the impeller with a pencil, does the pump start?
If the pump starts, dirt may have accumulated in the bearings. The impeller must rotate freely on the bearings.
Controller Check
Reconnect the controller. Does the controller turn on (are the LEDs flashing or are they all steadily lit)?
If it does not turn on, it may have been damaged. If only some LEDs are flashing, the problem may be with the pump.
After turning everything on, wait 180 seconds. Does the pump start?
It is often forgotten that these pumps have a built-in delayed start function.
Software
Wi-Fi Check: If the pump is controlled via Wi-Fi and the app, you must contact SICCE support through the website www.sicce.com. We
cannot access your credentials or verify the situation; they must do it themselves. If necessary, they will explain how to perform a
software reset.
How to perform a RESET: Follow this procedure if you want to try resetting the software.
1.
Enter the ContrAll App, go to the pump settings, and click Factory Reset + Yes, then Delete + Yes.
2.
Disconnect the power supply from the mains.
3.
Press and hold the + and − buttons on the controller, reconnect the power supply, and continue holding the buttons for
approximately 5–6 seconds.
4.
The blue Wi-Fi LED should flash rapidly and then turn off (or flash more slowly) when the procedure is complete.
How to perform the INSTALLATION: After completing the reset procedure, you can try reinstalling the software.
1.
Open the App and press the + button.
2.
Select the image of your SDC pump and its mini controller, then click "Proceed".
3.
If Bluetooth does not activate automatically, make sure it is turned on.
4.
In the next window, press SICCE SDC or SICCE PSK (depending on the model).
5.
Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect the pump to, enter the Wi-Fi network password, and press "Connect".
6.
Finally, enter the pump name and complete the installation.
